Underdog Brown Looks to Make History in Albany

PROVIDENCE –– Even the tightest teams have a spat every once in a while.

That’s why it was no big deal on Tuesday afternoon at Meehan Auditorium when Brown senior defenseman Hunter Thunell and sophomore winger Jack Maclellan traded two-handed slashes, then shed their gloves and threw punches for nearly a minute before teammates stepped in. No harm done.

“One of my favorite things about hockey is that things like that happen in practice, and two seconds later it’s forgotten,” said sophomore goalie Mike Clemente. “It’s just the nature of the game.
