LAREDO – If not for an injury suffered when Daymen Rycroft
was fighting his college roommate last month, Killer Bees rookie
forward Sean Muncy probably wouldn’t have been a part of
Wednesday night’s CHL All-Star Game.
And Muncy made the most of the opportunity, helping lead South
Texas to a 9-4 win over the CHL All-Stars. Muncy scored two goals,
had two assists and was named the South Texas MVP.
In all likelihood, however, he wouldn’t have gotten the
chance to play in Wednesday night’s game if Rycroft
hadn’t injured his left shoulder during a Dec. 19 fight
against the IceRays’ Ryan Garbutt, who was a teammate of
Muncy’s at Brown University.
