Bears to Host Toy Drive to Benefit Childrens Hospital
PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown men's hockey team looks forward to
hosting a Toy Drive at its three remaining home games this semester
to benefit Providence's Hasbro Children's Hospital. The primary
goal of the Toy Drive is to help "bring a smile to a child" and
donate needed items to the hospital as we head into the 2009
Holiday season.
Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to any of the
three remaining home games during the month of December, starting
with the Bears' game against Princeton on Friday, December 4th.
Fans who bring a toy to any of the games will be admitted to the
game for free.
Items needed by the hospital include: Crayola crayons, pencils, and
markers, coloring books, construction paper, playing cards, beads,
arts and crafts kits, matchbox cars, board books, and musical
toys.
Gift certificates to major retailers, including Walmart, Borders,
Target, Toys R Us, are also greatly appreciated by the hospital. If
fans choose to donate a gift card, the hospital asks that they are
purchased in $5.00 increments.
