The Providence College and Brown University hockey teams are headed in opposite directions as they take some time off between semesters.

After matching last season’s win total (7) on Nov. 24, the Friars have dropped five in a row and are languishing in the Hockey East basement.

Brown started 0-7-1 and was the last of the 58 Division I hockey teams in the nation to post a victory. The Bears have since won five in a row and are in seventh place in the 12-team ECAC.
