Crosty to Remain in Manchester
MANCHESTER, NH -- The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate
of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed former Brown forward Paul
Crosty to a one-year contract, Monarchs Director of Hockey
Operations Hubie McDonough announced Wednesday.
Crosty, 25, appeared in 49 games with the Monarchs during the
2007-08 season recording seven points (1-6=7) and 203 penalty
minutes. Crosty led the Monarchs with an average of 4.14
penalty minutes per game and his 203 penalty minutes ranked 16th
overall in the AHL. Crosty first signed a professional tryout
agreement with the Monarchs in January of 2007 and appeared in 32
games in the remainder of the 2006-07 season. In his 81 total
games in a Monarchs uniform, Crosty has amassed 335 penalty
minutes, which rank eighth on the Monarchs all-time penalty minutes
list, and nine points (2-7=9). Prior to signing with
Manchester, the 6-foot-2, 220-pound native of Edmonton, Alberta,
played in 34 games with the Toledo Storm of the ECHL following his
four seasons at Brown University. Crosty registered 16 points
(3-13=16) and 152 penalty minutes in 93 games with the Bears.
