Gladiators Add Prough to Roster
The Gwinnett Gladiators announced Thursday that they have agreed
to terms with former Brown forward Jeff Prough. Prough began his
professional career last season with the Florida Everblades
appearing in 9 games and posting an assist and 6 penalty minutes.
Prough joined the Everblades after completing his senior season as
an assistant captain at Brown where he amassed 7 goals and 19
assists for 26 points in 31 games last year.
The Farmingham Hills, Michigan native had a career season posting
33 points during his junior campaign to lead Brown in scoring in
2006-07 as he posted 16 goals and 17 assists. He finished his
collegiate career appearing in 127 games with Brown University
while notching 49 goals and 60 assists for 109 career points.
Prior to attending Brown University, the 5-foot-10, 175-pound
Prough appeared in 53 games with the Junior "A" Souix Falls
Stampede of the United States Hockey League. He collected 8 goals
and 17 assists for 25 points while notching 22 penalty minutes with
the Stampede.
In 2002, Prough helped lead his high school team to a Michigan
State High School Championship while playing at Detroit Catholic
Central. He won a Gold Medal in Five-Nations Under-17 Tournament
for Team USA in the Czech Republic and he earned a second Gold
Medal in 2003 for the USA Under-18 team in Slovakia.
