Brown Partners with B2 Networks
PROVIDENCE, RI - B2 Networks and Brown
University Athletics have announced a partnership that brings more
than 120 home games from 13 varsity sports to the revolutionary
broadband broadcasting network. The partnership begins this fall
with live broadcasts on B2 Networks of home games for Brown
football, men's and women's soccer, field hockey and volleyball,
and will expand the coverage to include men's and women's
basketball, men's and women's ice hockey, gymnastics, wrestling,
men's and women's lacrosse and possibly more sports and events in
the future.
"Our partnership with B2 Networks will make our home athletic
events available to a worldwide audience and allow Brown alumni,
parents, prospective students, and fans of Brown athletics to
follow their favorite teams at an unprecedented level," said Brown
University Athletic Director Michael Goldberger.
Brown will also be broadcasting on B2 Networks live select road
games as well as coach's shows in audio format only for the sports
of football, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's
basketball, men's and women's ice hockey and men's and women's
lacrosse. In addition, Brown road games at B2 Networks' partner
institutions will also be broadcast live.
By teaming with B2 Networks, Brown athletics will be available for
viewing by a worldwide audience. Live events will be aired through
the school's athletic website http://brownbears.com/. Fans wanting
to watch Brown events via B2 Networks will need a high-speed
Internet connection and a current version of Microsoft Windows
Media Player. Games will be sold on an individual basis with
special viewing packages to be announced at a later date.
