Paul Baier might be the only Division I hockey player in America who rides a bus and pedals a bike to school. But tonight the big Brown defenseman, a senior, plans to skate to victory over Providence College in the 22nd annual Mayor's Cup game at Schneider Arena.
His little brother Eric will do everything he can to thwart him. Eric, also a defenseman, is a PC freshman.
"This is a big game for me personally, and for us as a team. Any time you get to play a Hockey East team, it's special," Baier said from his home in North Kingstown, where he lives with his parents.
