Stephen Hagwell
Commissioner
Stephen Hagwell was named Commissioner by the ECAC Hockey
athletics administrators in March 2005 after serving in an acting
role beginning April 2004.
In his role as commissioner, Hagwell oversees the overall
management and operation of ECAC Hockey, including, but not limited
to league scheduling, finances, officiating, championships and
sponsorship fulfillment.
In his tenure, Hagwell has established the league office at the
Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y., brokered a contract extension
with the Arena to serve as the men’s championship site
through 2010, signed a multi-year television contract with CBS
College Sports XXL (formerly CSTV), and was instrumental in the
launch of a league Web site -- www.ecachockey.com.
Hagwell joined the ECAC in August 1999, and was named Associate
Commissioner for hockey in 2000. In that role, he oversaw the
day-to-day operations of the Divisions I and III leagues and served
as the liaison to the coaches and athletics administrators in seven
leagues. In 2003, he took on the additional responsibility of
overseeing the Division I women’s league operations.
Prior to joining the general ECAC staff, Hagwell worked at NCAA
headquarters in the public affairs office for more than seven
years. At the NCAA, Hagwell was the assistant manager of publishing
where he served as liaison to the Men’s Ice Hockey Rules
Committee and the NCAA Baseball Research Panel. He also was
responsible for supervising a staff of editors.
Before his stint at the NCAA, Hagwell spent time on the sports
information staffs as the University of Kentucky, University of
Wisconsin, LaCrosse and University of Florida.
A graduate of Michigan Tech, Hagwell and his wife, Carrie, have
three children: Jordy, Joshua, and Jack.

Edward Krajewski
Assistant Commissioner
Ed Krajewski joined the ECAC Hockey Staff in July 2007, as
Assistant Commissioner.
As assistant commissioner, Krajewski is responsible for all facets
of ECAC Hockey, including developing, coordinating, and
implementing the League’s marketing and media relations
strategies; serving as liaison to corporate partners; and
coordinating production of the League’s promotional and
printed materials, such as annual media guides, championship
programs, and ticket brochures. Krajewski also manages the
League’s award programs, and assists with the enhancement of
the League’s web site.
Prior to joining the ECAC Hockey staff, Krajewski’s
professional experience includes five years with the National
Hockey League’s (NHL) Florida Panthers where he served two
years as Director of Promotions, and three plus as Senior Manager,
Promotions.
In addition to his time with the Panthers, Krajewski spent time as Director of Marketing at the Homestead-Miami Speedway and as Manager of Archives for the Panthers, National Football League’s (NFL) Miami Dolphins, and Major League Baseball’s (MLB) Florida Marlins.
Krajewski holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Siena College and a Master of Science in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University (Miami). He resides in Cohoes, NY with his wife Patti.
