2011-12 All-Academic Team Comprises 208 Student-Athletes
ALBANY, N.Y. - Two hundred eight student-athletes representing
the ECAC Hockey’s 12 men’s programs were named to the
2011-12 ECAC Hockey All-Academic team. One hundred twenty-seven of
this year’s student-athletes were also named to the team last
year, 69 have the distinction of receiving the honor the last three
seasons, and 32 received the recognition over the last four years.
Of the 12 institutions, Brown and Yale led the way with 24 honorees
each, followed by Rensselaer with 22, then Quinnipiac with 21 and
Harvard with 18.
Players are eligible for the All-Academic team if they earn a
cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale
or have a GPA over 3.00 over the past three
semesters.
