Quinnipiac men's ice hockey junior Jeremy Langlois (Tempe, Ariz.) scored the Bobcats only goal in a 1-1 tie against ECAC Hockey foe Clarkson at High Point Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center. The Bobcats go to 7-3-2 overall and 1-1-2 in ECAC Hockey while Clarkson goes to 6-2-3 on the year and 1-1-1 in league play.

"I thought we played well today," Head coach Rand Pecknold said. "I thought we did a lot of little things well. Certainly the shots indicate that. I mean, we're disappointed we only came away with a point, but, we played well."

The goal make Langlois one of two players, along with Notre Dame's Anders Lee, to score 10 goals to date in NCAA Division I hockey. The third-year Bobcat cashed-in on a brilliant pass from senior captain Scott Zurevinski (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) on a play that was set-up by freshman phenom Matthew Peca (Petawawa, Ontario).

Peca picked up the puck behind Clarkson goalie Paul Karpowich and sent a pass to Zurevinski who spun and found Langlois on the opposite post. Langlois one-timed the shot past Karpowich for the games' first goal with less than five minutes to play in the period. The assist was Zurevinski's eighth of the season, while also giving him 10 points on the year, while Peca's assist runs his team-best point streak to 11 games - one shy of the Quinnipiac freshman record set by Ben Nelson in 2005.

Karpowich was brilliant in net, recording 43 saves in the tie. Quinnipiac outshot Clarkson, 44-11, including a 21-2 edge in the third period. Quinnipiac's Eric Hartzell (White Bear Lake, Minn.) was seemingly untested, stopping 10 of 11 in goal, but only saw two shots over the third period and five-minute overtime.

Adam Pawlick scored the game-tying goal 4:25 into the second period when Nick Tremblay put a shot on goal that Hartzell stopped, but Alex Boak picked up above the crease. Boak slid the pick over to Pawlick just above the face-off circle who blasted a shot past Hartzell to tie the game.

Quinnipiac is back in action on Saturday, Nov. 12 when it hosts St. Lawrence at 4 p.m. at High Point Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center. It will be a busy day on the York Hill Campus as the Bobcats' arena will be officially dedicated at 3 p.m.

All QU Bobcats fans are asked to bring at least one non-perishable food item to the Nov. 12 men's ice hockey game.  All food collected will be donated to the Connecticut Food Bank, so families in the Hamden area can benefit, especially as we approach the holiday season and colder weather. Each item donated will earn the generous QU fan a raffle ticket and allow them to be entered into a drawing for terrific QU-themed prizes from the Alumni Association.
