SCHENECTADY -- The nation met Union hockey coach Nate Leaman on Sunday, and its first impression must be that he's awfully quiet.
Leaman was live on a video feed with the ESPN2 studio hosts during the NCAA Tournament Selection Show, just a few moments after his team was placed in the bracket as a No. 2 seed facing No. 3 Minnesota Duluth in Bridgeport, Conn., on Friday.
ESPN2 cut to Schenectady, where about 100 Union supporters gathered at Nott Memorial, Leaman appeared on camera, and his first words were ... well, nobody knows. The sound cut out. Leaman went back on the air 15 minutes later, after the technical glitch was fixed.
