If it's Friday, it's a Big Game

Though they may count the same in the standings, all college hockey games are not treated equally. They can't be -- and, no, the opponent is not only the reason.

It's the night of the week that matters, too. A lot.

That's especially true in ECAC Hockey, where the bulk of the balanced league schedule features Friday and Saturday games against different opponents, either at home or on the road. The teams are paired, meaning Union and RPI face the same alternated teams most league weekends.
