ECAC Hockey Partners with MLX Skates
ALBANY, N.Y. -- ECAC Hockey is proud to announce that the League
and MLX Skates have agreed to a one-year partnership for the
2010-11 season.
“We are excited to partner with an innovative company that
demonstrates passion and dedication in producing a world premier
skating product that all student-athletes can benefit from,”
commented ECAC Hockey Commissioner Steve Hagwell.
“It is an privilege for MLX Skates to be ECAC Hockey’s
Weekly Award presenting sponsors throughout the 2010-11
season,” remarked MLX Skates President Andy Gabel. We
are excited to be introducing the MLX Skates brand to ECAC Hockey
and the collegiate game.”
MLX Skates is a new breed of high-performance ice hockey skates
created by four-time U.S. Olympic speed skater Dave Cruikshank, the
world leader in high-performance speed skate manufacturing. The MLX
team also includes four-time Olympian and 1994 Olympic silver
medalist, Andy Gabel, Curtis Brackenbury, an 11-year veteran of the
NHL, U.S. Olympic speed skater Scott Van Horne, and former NHL
great and Hockey Hall of Famer Mario Lemieux.
As part of the arrangement both the men’s and women’s
ECAC Hockey Weekly Awards will now be named: MLX Skates
Player of the Week, MLX Skates Goaltender of the Week, and MLX
Skates Rookie of the Week.
