Championship to Air on NHL Network & Fox College Sports
ALBANY, N.Y. -- ECAC Hockey announced today that it has partnered with the National Hockey League (NHL) Network and Fox College Sports to televise its 2010 ECAC Men’s Hockey Championship presented by Bank of America and Hilton Garden Inn, Albany Medical Center semifinals and final March 19-20 at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York. Arranged by B2 Television the partnership provides for the games to be broadcast in both the United States and Canada.
"Partnering with both the NHL Network and Fox College Sports is a tremendous opportunity for the league and its fans," said Commissioner Steve Hagwell. "Utilizing the resources of both networks allows for extraordinary coverage for our league’s showcase event. We are delighted with the partnership and opportunity for our fans to see our student-athletes in action.”
The 2010 ECAC Men’s Hockey Championship presented by Bank of America and Hilton Garden Inn, Albany Medical Center semifinals will be held Friday, March 19. The first semifinals contest is No. 2 seed Cornell taking on No. 11 seed Brown beginning with a 4 p.m. start; the second semifinals game showcases third-seeded Union battling fifth-seeded St. Lawrence scheduled to start at 7 p.m. The following day, Saturday, March 20, the third-place game will be held at 4 p.m. and the championship final will be held at 7 p.m.
