ALBANY, N.Y. -- The 2010 ECAC Hockey Championship presented by Bank of America and the Hilton Garden Inn at Albany Medical Center field is set with Cornell, Union, St. Lawrence and Brown battling to be called champion. Competition will commence Friday with semifinals action at the Times Union Center. The winner of this weekend's event claims the 2010 Championship crown and earns an automatic berth in the 2010 NCAA championship.

No. 2-seeded Cornell, No. 3-seeded Union, No. 5-seeded St. Lawrence and No. 11-seeded Brown each posted best-of-three-games series victories. The Big Red defeated visiting Harvard in two games; the Saints defeated host Colgate in two games; and the Dutchmen and Bears each posted three-game series wins. Union defeated visiting Quinnipiac; Brown upset top-seeded Yale at Ingalls Rink.
In semifinals action Friday, Cornell faces Brown at 4 p.m., followed by Union battling St. Lawrence at 7 p.m.
All games will be televised live via the NHL Network and Fox College Sports (championship game only) and streamed live via B2 Networks. Access to the B2 Networks broadcasts can be gained via the League Web site.
