Cornell Coach Called it: Union is Strong

Ask any hockey coach in the country about another team and
you're guaranteed to hear two things: the opposition is
well-coached and plays hard.
So following Cornell's last league game on Dec. 5 -- a 2-2 tie at
Union -- Mike Schafer began his post-game conference talking about
how good a team Union was. Initially, it seemed like the obligatory
blowing of proverbial kisses. But as Schafer kept talking about
Union, it was clear he truly felt what he was saying.
"I think Union is probably one of the, if not the best team, we've
played this year," Schafer started by saying. Not Yale or Boston
University. Union.
