Four League Teams in National Polls
ALBANY, NY -- ECAC Hockey continues to maintain a presence in the the nnational polls in the early part of the 2009-10 season. Cornell, Yale, Princeton, and Quinnipiac were once again identified in the most recent national polls, which were released Monday.
Cornell keep its spot in the No. 6 slot in both the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine and USCHO.com polls, earning 319 and 701 points respectively. The Big Red take to the ice for the first time this weekend in a pair of exhibition games versus Windsor and the USA Under-18 Team.
Princeton jumped from the No. 9 spot to the No 8 position in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll garnering 245 points, while staying in the No. 10 spot in the USCHO.com rankings earning 530 points.
Yale, the defending regular-season and ECAC Hockey Tournament Champions, moved from the No. 10 slot to No. 9 with 226 points in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll, while it maintains its No. 8 spot with 589 points in the USCHO.com rankings.
Quinnipiac, fresh off its third win in as many games, moves from the No. 18 position to the No. 20 position in the USCHO.com poll earning 150 points.

The 14th annual USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll is conducted each week in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association. The poll includes input from coaches and journalists representing each of the six NCAA Division I ice hockey conferences, as well as composite votes from officers of the American Hockey Coaches Association and USA Hockey Magazine, the most widely distributed hockey magazine in the world.
The USCHO.com/CBS College Sports Poll consists of 50 voters, including 28 coaches from the Division I conferences and 22 beat writers and sports professionals from across the country. The poll, published weekly by the Associated Press, is a joint production of USCHO.com, which provides in-depth coverage of college sports, including hockey, lacrosse, soccer and others, and CBS College Sports Networks, Inc., the only digital media company dedicated solely to college sports.
