Barlow, Myers Bound for Boise
BOISE, ID – Idaho head coach Derek Laxdal announced
Tuesday that former Cornell forward Evan Barlow and former
Quinnipiac forward Chris Myers have agreed to terms with the
ECHL’s Steelheads. Barlow and Myers will report to training
camp with the Steelheads on October 3.
Barlow, 23, was named Cornell’s Most Valuable Player after
scoring 27 points (13 goals, 14 assists) last season with the Big
Red. Myers, also 23, tallied 19 career goals at Quinnipiac. Neither
Barlow nor Myers has appeared in a professional game.
“These are pretty versatile kids who can play either
wing,” Laxdal said. “That’ll give us some good
depth up front, which we didn’t really have last
season.”
Training camp for the Steelheads opens on October 3 at Qwest Arena
in Boise.
