NEW HAVEN -- In the grand scheme of things, the experts of the
college hockey world probably wouldn't cast a second glance at the
two Northeast programs separated by just about 10 miles of Whitney
Avenue. Yale and Quinnipiac aren't exactly NCAA tournament
world-beaters. In fact, despite a history that dates back well over
100 years, the Bulldogs have only made the NCAA tournament three
times. Quinnipiac only once.

moment and right now, the moment is pretty darn special around
these two programs. This past Friday night, as a standing room only
