RPI vs. Union: No Hype Needed

This is one week when the coaches don't have to say much to get their players excited for the task at hand.

It's Union against RPI, and with both teams at 5-8-1 in ECAC Hockey with eight games to play, the home-and-home series needs no artificial hyping.

"We've gotten smarter, we've gotten more disciplined and our systems have gotten a lot better," said RPI's leading scorer Chase Polacek, whose team lost a shootout to the Dutchmen in the Governor's Cup semifinal in October but has improved markedly in recent weeks. "Everyone's really gotten accustomed to what's going on out there, and we've just been playing better overall since then."
