Panthers Training Camp Has ECAC Hockey Flavor
SUNRISE, FL -– The Florida Panthers will open their 2008
Training Camp Friday, Sept. 19 at the BankAtlantic Center. Three
former ECAC Hockey standouts -- Tanner Glass (Dartmouth), Cory
Murphy (Colgate) and Noah Welch (Harvard -- are among the 53
players comprising the training camp roster.
The Panthers will open on-ice sessions on Saturday, Sept. 20 and
Sunday, Sept. 21 at incredibleICE in Coral Springs beginning at 10
a.m. The Panthers then hit the road for six pre-season games before
returning to incredibleICE again on Tuesday, Sept. 30.

TRAINING CAMP ROSTER
The Panthers training camp will consist of 27 forwards, 21
defensemen and five goaltenders.
Florida will play seven preseason games, with the first six on the
road Sept. 23 at Calgary, 9 p.m., Sept. 24 at Edmonton, 9 p.m.,
Sept. 25 at Edmonton, 9 p.m., Sept. 26 at Calgary, 9:00 p.m., Sept.
27 vs. NY Islanders at Prince Edward Island, 8 p.m. and Sept. 27 at
Montreal, 7 p.m. Florida will return home for one final preseason
game on Oct. 6 vs. NY Islanders at 7:30 p.m.
The Panthers begin the 2008-09 regular season October 10 in
Raleigh against the Carolina Hurricanes. Florida will have its home
opener on October 11 at the BankAtlantic Center against the Atlanta
Thrashers at 7 p.m.
