Gerry Burke (l) and Mike MadillLAS VEGAS -- The National Conference champion Las Vegas Wranglers® announced that they have extended qualifying offers eight players, including former Brown defenseman Gerry Burke and former St. Lawrence defenseman Mike Madill. The Wranglers are the ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League and the Quad City Flames of the American Hockey League.
Burke split the 2007-08 campaign between Las Vegas and the Quad City Flames of the American Hockey League (AHL). In 16 games with the Wranglers, Burke scored three goals and assisted on four tallies. He registered six assists in 45 games with Quad City. Burke also competed in 21 playoff games with Las Vegas, scoring two goals and assisting on five goals.
Madill competed in 68 regular-season contests with Las Vegas in 2007-08. He netted four goals and added 10 assists. In 21 postseason contests, Madill scored one goal and added six assists. The former Saints standout also played for Quad City (two games) and Milwaukee of the AHL (one game).
