Boxscore

TROY, N.Y. -- The 11th-ranked Princeton men's hockey team scored three goals in the final five minutes of the third period, including sophomore Matt Arhontas' game-winning goal on a power play, to defeat Rensselaer 4-1, in an ECAC Hockey game at the Houston Field House.

Princeton captured the lead at 15:04 of the third period on a power-play goal scored by Arhontas, who scored on a snap shot from outside the crease at the bottom of the left faceoff circle.  Junior Kevin Kaiser and sophomore Cam Ritchie assisted his first goal of the season.

Junior Tyler Beachell added an insurance goal three minutes later.  Sophomore Taylor Fedun advanced the puck to junior Dan Bartlett who carried it into the zone, then dropped the puck back to Beachell who scored his first of the season from the slot.

Fifty seconds later with the RPI goalie pulled, Princeton scored one final time. Sophomore Matt Godlewski found the net on and break-a-way for his second goal in as many games, after he had gone the previous 27 games without a goal. Junior Cam MacIntyre and senior Lee Jubinville assisted his goal.

After a scoreless first period, in which Princeton outshot RPI, 18-9, Patrick Cullen put the Engineers on the board 1:26 into the second period. Collen's goal came from just outside the crease and was his third goal of the season. Princeton tied the game at 11:11 of the second period when sophomore
Kevin Lohry beat an RPI defender along the right side in a battle for the puck and managed a shot on Lange, who nicked the attempt, but had the puck skip up and over his shoulder for the unassisted, shorthanded goal, Lohry's second tally of the season.

Princeton junior goaltender Zane Kalemba earned the win, stopping 16 shots, while RPI goaltender Mathias Lange stopped 49 shots in the loss.
