Three League Teams Remain in Poll
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Cornell, Yale and Princeton each garnered top-15 positions in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll, which was released Monday. All three teams earned the right to play in NCAA Regional action last weekend.
Cornell (22-10-4 overall, 13-6-3 in ECAC Hockey) maintained its position in the No. 9 slot in the poll. The Big Red tallied 219 points in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll. Cornell advanced to the NCAA Midwest Regional Championship game in Grand Rapids, Mich., falling by a 4-1 margin to Bemidji State Sunday.
Regular-season and League tournament champion Yale (24-8-2 overall and 15-5-2 in ECAC Hockey) came in as the nation's No. 13-ranked team. The Bulldogs registered 174 points in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll. The Bulldogs season came to an end with a 4-1 loss to Vermont in an NCAA East Regional semifinal at the Arena at Harbor Yard last Friday.
The Tigers of Princeton (22-12-1 overall and 14-8 in ECAC Hockey) earned the No. 15 position in USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll, racking up 87 points. Minnesota Duluth rallied to edge the Tigers 5-4 in overtime Friday night in the NCAA first round of the West Regional played at Minnesota's Mariucci Arena.

The 14th annual USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll is conducted each week in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association. The poll includes input from coaches and journalists representing each of the six NCAA Division I ice hockey conferences, as well as composite votes from officers of the AHCA and USA Hockey Magazine, the most widely distributed hockey magazine in the world.
