Four League Teams in USCHO.com Poll
ECAC Hockey has placed four men's teams in the USCHO.com poll. Princeton, Clarkson, Cornell and Harvard occupy the Nos. 12, 13, 17 and 19 slots, respectively.
Princeton enters the year at the No. 12 position after winning the ECAC Hockey championship last season. Princeton will open it's season on October 25th, against Western Ontario. The Tigers garnered 427 points after finishing last season in the No. 13 spot in the rankings.
Clarkson, coached by George Roll, enters the season in the No. 13 position, with 375 votes. The Golden Knights finished last season in the No. 11 spot in the rankings. Clarkson will open it's season on Oct. 17th. The Golden Knights will host Colorado College, the No. 3 team in the poll for a pair of games the next weekend.
Cornell opens the season at the No. 17 spot. Despite not being ranked at the end of last season, the Big Red received 186 votes. Cornell will open the season on Oct. 24th with a game against Western Ontario. The Big Red will travel to North Dakota in November, to take on the No. 5 ranked Fighting Sioux.
Harvard, coached by Ted Donato, open the season ranked No. 19. The Crimson finished last season ranked No. 16 and received 134 votes. The Crimson will play a number of fellow ranked teams, including a showdown with Boston College who is ranked No. 1 in the poll. The Crimson will also face North Dakota for a couple of games and will participate in the Beanpot tournament, which will feature Boston College as well as No. 9 Boston University.
