ALBANY, N.Y. -- Clarkson, Princeton and Harvard continue to represent the league on the national level, at least in the minds of the voters, as the trio once again earned spots in the latest national polls.
Clarkson, the 2007-08 William J. Cleary Cup recipient as
the ECAC Hockey regular-season champion, climbed to No. 7
in both polls. The Golden Knights, who host Colgate in league
quarterfinals action this weekend, accumulated 304 points in
the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and 676 points in the
USCHO.com/CSTV Networks poll.
Princeton, which is hosting Yale this weekend in league
quarterfinals action, ranks No. 16 in the USCHO.com/CSTV Networks
poll with 257 total points.
Harvard, which hosts Quinnipiac in league quarterfinals action this weekend, occupy the No. 17 slot (164 points) in the USCHO.com/CSTV Networks poll.
About the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll: The
13th annual poll is conducted each week in conjunction with
the American Hockey Coaches Association. The poll includes input
from coaches and journalists representing each of the six NCAA
Division I ice hockey conferences, as well as composite votes from
officers of the American Hockey Coaches Association and USA Hockey
Magazine, the most widely distributed hockey magazine in the world.
About the USCHO.com/CSTV Networks Poll: The poll consists of 50 voters, including 28 coaches from the Division I conferences and 22 beat writers and sports professionals from across the country.
