ALBANY, N.Y. -- Colgate goaltender Mark Dekanich is featured in the latest edition of the Lowe's Senior CLASS Newsletter, which highlights candidates for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award.

Dekanich, along with Cornell senior Topher Scott, Princeton forward Landis Stankievech and St. Lawrence goaltender Justin Pesony, are among 10 finalists for the award, which recognizes achievement in the areas of character, classroom, community, and competition, and is the highest honor given by the NCAA to a senior student-athlete. Dekanich is featured under the heading of "community and character" in the newsletter, which talks about his involvement in his team's community service efforts, as well as highlighting his current record-setting shutout streak.

Fan voting is underway to select the winner of the award. Fans can vote daily at http://www.seniorclassaward.com/. The winner of the award will be announced at the 2008 Frozen Four in Denver.
