ECAC Hockey Goes Mobile

ALBANY, N.Y. -- ECAC Hockey, in collaboration with PrestoSports, announced today the debut of a new mobile scoreboard with live score updates from games played at each league rink via www.ecachockey.com/m.

Since October 2007, the league has teamed with PrestoSports to provide instant score and time updates from each institution to its Web site at www.ecachockey.com - now those scores will also be immediately transmitted to mobile phones.

"We truly are excited to be offering yet another enhancement to the league via the mobile scoreboard," said Commissioner Steve Hagwell. "The staff at PrestoSports has been extraordinary in its efforts to provide the league with the best Web site possible. Our relationship with PrestoSports has been fantastic, and clearly has had an impact as interest in the league site is at an all-time high, and continues to grow daily. We are thrilled to be providing this great service at a time when interest within the league continues to climb as we head down the stretch."

The league launched its interactive Web site in the spring of 2007 with PrestoSports and keeps adding new features and content to highlight its membership. The site features information on each of its league members, daily news updates and thanks to the statistical input effort of sports information/publicity staffs at member institutions - standings and scores have been updated instantaneously from the facilities during league play.

"We're excited the league office has asked us to provide this solution. In a league as competitive as ECAC Hockey, everyone wants to know the scores at the other rinks. The feature should be a great way to help fans follow all the action," PrestoSports Vice President Patrick Summers said.
