Feature: Alternating Ways to a Means

To rotate or not to rotate; that is the question. And the answer, when it comes to goaltending at both RPI and Union, is to rotate.
RPI coach Seth Appert, himself a collegiate netminder at Ferris State, is perfectly comfortable utilizing both of his two upperclassmen goalies. Since both are in the top five in the ECAC Hockey League in save percentage, who can blame him?
"I don't subscribe to the theory that you have to have one goalie to win," Appert said when discussing the relative merits of senior Jordan Alford and junior Mathias Lange. "If one emerges, we'll go to one, but I don't have any problem having some type of rotation if they continue performing the way they're performing."
