St. Lawrence took an early lead, jumping onto the board at the 4:40 mark of the first period. Travis Vermeulen scored an unassisted goal when he dug the puck out of the corner, skated out across the crease and slipped a shot past Quinnipiac goalie Bud Fisher (Peterborough, Ont.). Less than a minute earlier, Saints forward Alex Curran passed the puck from the left flank to Vermeulen out in front of Quinnipiac's net whose one-timer was blocked by Fisher. The puck banged around the boards and ended up to the right of the Bobcats' goal where Vermeulen retrieved it. The goal was the sophomore center's sixth of the season.

St. Lawrence took a 2-0 lead just 1:08 into the second period just after the Bobcats killed a penalty. Charlie Giffin controlled the puck on the right side of the Bobcats goal before finding Jared Ross at the point just inside the blue line. Ross' wristshot found the top right corner, just over the glove of Fisher. The goal was Ross' fourth of the season while Giffin converts on his 11th assist of the season.

Giffin scored to give St. Lawrence a 3-0 lead at the 10:23 mark of the second period. Matt Generous passed to Casey Parenteau who then took a shot from just inside the blueline. Parenteau's wrister from the point was deflected past Fisher to push the Saints' lead to three goals halfway through the second period. Giffin's goal was his seventh of the year while Generous and Parenteau picked up their 10th and seventh assists of the year, respectively.

St. Lawrence's fourth goal of the game and third of the second period came with :41.6 seconds remaining in the period. Sean Flanagan netted his second goal of the season to give the Saints a 4-0 lead through two periods. Flanagan was assisted on the play by Derek Keller and Generous.

Lampe put the Bobcats on the board with just under 10 minutes to play in the game. Mike Atkinson (Sparta, N.J.) found Lampe on the side of the Saints' net. The sophomore center clanged home his 11th goal of the year off of St. Lawrence goalie John Hallas to cut the SLU lead to three. Atkinson's assist was his eighth of the season.

The Bobcats close out the 2007-08 regular season tomorrow night at Cheel Arena in Potsdam, N.Y. when they face the Clarkson Golden Knights at 7 p.m.
